WELCOME

My name is Gina.I’m a qualified counsellor offering a warm, supportive space where you can talk freely and feel truly heard.I work in a person-centred and trauma-informed way with adults (aged 18 years and older) experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, and low self-esteem, but my specialisms include:Men’s mental health
Veterans
Sexual violence and abuse
Gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity
Chronic and/or life changing illness
Neurodivergence
Menstrual cycle awareness
Young people
My training spans four years in Humanistic Existential counselling, followed by a one-year practitioner training in Wild Therapy, developed by Nick Totton. Alongside this, I bring more than ten years’ experience working with somatic/body-based approaches to self-exploration and expression.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is grounded in a person-centred humanistic and existential way of working. In simple terms, that means the focus is on you - your choices, your experiences, and what matters most in your life.We take time to look at how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how your values and decisions shape your day-to-day experience, making sense of what’s going on and exploring what might feel right for you.I offer a space that is grounded, non-judgemental, and collaborative, where you can speak openly without pressure or expectation. At times, I may gently challenge you, not to push you, but to encourage deeper awareness, notice patterns, and consider different ways of approaching things.Woven through my practice is Wild Therapy - an ethos that deepens the work. It runs through all sessions, whether indoors or outdoors, and is less about the setting and more about a willingness, and courage, to look at things honestly, step outside familiar patterns, explore the edges of experience, and gently uncover what may have been pushed aside.
When we work outdoors, nature becomes part of the process, offering space, perspective, and a different way of engaging with your thoughts and experience.
At its heart, this work is about the relationship we build together and creating a space where you can be yourself. Wherever you’re starting from, we work at your pace. Some sessions may focus on talking things through, while others might involve noticing patterns, exploring emotions and experiences, or finding ways to respond differently in everyday life. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan.Turning up, as you are, is enough. We begin from there.

Client Feedback

"Gina has a wisdom and strength which makes you feel anything you bring will be accepted.I loved being able to move through grief, fear, and humour in a single session, which made me feel lighter and heard".

"Gina has helped me to feel calmer and more connected to myself.I would recommend Gina to anyone who would like compassion from their counsellor in conjunction with a body based approach".

"Right from my first session with Gina, I found her to be deeply connected, a solid presence, and I could tell she was truly truly hearing me.She even created a safe enough space to begin to gently challenge some of my old stories, using a movement exercise outdoors to push against a tree and feel into its resistance (which makes more sense given my material!). I found her to bedeeply intuitive, brave enough to take some risks and at the same time incredibly warm.Thank you Gina".

"I've worked with Gina for a year and have found her to be a gently powerful, empathetic, and authentic outdoor therapist. Gina has helped me with some personal challenges that have touched me deeply and helped me to integrate old hurt presented in a current situation. As a lesbian, I've felt totally comfortable with Gina and she has helped me work through some challenges of the heart. Physical embodied activities in nature have have helped reveal aspects of myself more clearly.I know that nature is part of us and provides a multitude of opportunities for us to feel better. I would highly reccommend Gina as an indoor and outdoor therapist".
